Naomi Bencomo grew up here in Amarillo with a passion for the arts, especially music. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Music in Education and a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance. During her time at West Texas A&M, she served as a Graduate Assistant for the Sound of West Texas Buffalo Marching band, a member of the WTAMU Symphonic Band and the Symphony Orchestra. Naomi also served as a member of Tau Beta Sigma, Mu Phi Epsilon and was initiated as an honorary member of Kappa Kappa Psi. Naomi has been playing clarinet for 15 years where 5 of those were also spent learning the french horn. Naomi enjoys working for the Amarillo Symphony and sharing her love and knowledge of music with our patrons. In her spare time, Naomi enjoys performing with local community groups, watching various TV shows and movies, and playing video games.
