Purchases

Payment must be made in full before tickets will be released. The Amarillo Symphony Box Office accepts cash, checks, debit cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Checks can be made payable to: “Amarillo Symphony Orchestra” or “ASO.”

Tickets purchased within one week of a concert will be held at the box office and may be picked up prior to the concert.  Any orders placed more than one week in advance will be mailed to the address provided by the patron.

Tickets may also be purchased at any Panhandle Tickets outlet or on the web at www.panhandletickets.com.

Subscriber Seating

Placing season ticket orders is an intricate procedure designed to honor those who have been generous and loyal patrons, and to be fair to everyone involved.  Due to immense demand, Symphony representatives respond to thousands of seating requests, doing their utmost to make every subscriber comfortable.

Subscription seating placement will be processed in the following order:

  1. Straight Renewals – subscribers requesting the same seats and the same concert night*
  2. Seating Change Requests from contributing subscribers
  3. Seating Change Requests from non-contributing subscribers
  4. New Subscribers who have made contributions
  5. New Subscribers who choose not to make a contribution

*Globe-News Center Seat Owners will be seated in accordance with the Globe-News Center’s Seat Owner agreement.

 Please note, receipt of payment does not guarantee seating placement.

Group Sales

We offer 20 percent group discounts for groups larger than 10 people.  Discounts are subject to box office approval.  Group discounts do not apply to subscription packages.

Ticket Donations

Patrons unable to attend a concert may return concert tickets to the box office as a tax-deductible donation. Value of the donation is equal to the paid value printed on the ticket. The tickets must be physically returned to the Symphony office no later than 3 hours prior to their respective concerts to receive the tax-deductible donation.

You may not donate tickets from past concerts.

Ticket Exchanges

Subscribers may exchange their tickets for best-available comparable seats within a concert pair.  Exchanges are not available for special-event concerts.When you exchange tickets, every effort is made to provide seats in the same price section, subject to availability. You may not exchange from past concerts.

If you upgrade your seat, you'll be charged for the difference in price at the time the exchange is made.  We regret that we are unable to refund the difference if you exchange into lower priced seats.  All exchanges are subject to availability.

Refunds

Refunds are issued only for cancelled performances.  Rescheduled performances will not be refunded.

Stand-by Tickets

Stand-by tickets are available only in the event of a sold-out concert.  Empty seats will be filled by stand-by ticket holders after the presentation of the national anthem.  For more details on stand-by tickets, please contact the Symphony Box Office at 376-8782.

Programs and Artists

Program artists, dates, and times are subject to change without notice. 

Cameras/Recording Equipment

Cameras and recording equipment are not allowed in the concert hall.  Unauthorized recording or picture-taking (including camera phone images) are strictly prohibited.

Late Seating

Concerts begin promptly at the scheduled time. In consideration of the performers and patrons, latecomers will be instructed to wait until applause to be seated. If you must leave the hall during the performance, please do so quietly.

Child Policy

The Amarillo Symphony welcomes children who are accompanied by a parent and who are able to sit quietly for the duration of the concert.  Every person, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theater for performances. Lap-seat tickets are not available.

Disruptions

Out of respect to their fellow audience members, disruptive patrons will be asked to excuse themselves from the theater.

Handicapped Accommodations

The Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts is handicap accessible with handicap parking and wheelchair seating.

Headsets for an Assistive Hearing System, which aid hearing-impaired persons in enjoying performances, are available at the box office (in limited quantities).

Smoking Policy

All performance halls used by the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra are smoke-free environments.

Lost and Found

Lost articles will be turned over to the Amarillo Civic Center administration.  Feel free to contact the Civic Center Main Office at 378-4297.
