Conductor, Amarillo Youth Philharmonic & Sinfonia

 Jill Bradford, the conductor of Amarillo Youth Philharmonic and Amarillo Youth Sinfonia, is a product of Amarillo Independent School District’s string program.  An Amarillo Symphony violist for about 30 years, Jill grew up playing alongside some of the Symphony’s best musicians. Now, she is passing along the lessons she learned, both as part of the Amarillo Youth Orchestras and in her day job as Orchestra Director at Austin Middle School. 

Jill has taught in public schools for 23 years after earning bachelor of arts degrees in Music Performance and Education from West Texas State University. Her husband, Marcus, is choral director at Randall High School and serves as church pianist at First Baptist Church in Amarillo and as chorus master for Amarillo Opera. They have two adult children, Mika and Clay.
